Please fill out the Medical Examination Form (Patient Referral Document), which is available exclusively from Global Scanning Clinic Futako-tamagawa (3 copies).

Patients will be notified of any precautions to be taken during the examination by e-mail.

2. Reception Desk

Please come to the clinic at least 10 minutes before your appointment time.
Please be sure to bring your health insurance card and the Medical Examination Form (only for insured patients). You will be asked to fill out a medical application form and consent form at the reception desk.

3. Interview

The doctor in charge will ask you about your medical history and symptoms of concern based on the medical examination form, medical application form, and consent form.

4. Changing Clothes

If necessary, you will be asked to change into specialized examination clothes.
There are changing rooms and washrooms for women only.

5. Waiting area prior to the examination

Patients wait in the waiting area before examinations with special patient privacy.

6. Radiography and Diagnosis

The radiologist in charge of the examination will perform various examinations using the state-of-the-art MRI/CT manufactured by Canon Medical Systems.
For brain and chest examinations, AI diagnosis is performed prior to diagnosis by a diagnostic radiologist to improve accuracy.

7. Payment

Payment is made by an automatic payment machine that accepts various types of credit cards and electronic payment, thus shortening the time required for payment.

8. Result Report

In the case of private practice - self-pay care (medical checkup)

Diagnostic results will be sent by e-mail within one week.
If you wish to have the results (including CD-R) mailed to you, we will send them to you with extra cost.
*Postal fee: 1,100 yen (inside Japan)

In case of referral from a clinic (insurance treatment)

Diagnostic images can be viewed and saved within one hour after acquisition via the Internet using a dedicated viewer provided by PSP Corporation (former NOBORI Corporation.).
*The images are accessed via the Internet to a cloud server managed by PSP (former NOBORI Corporation.) in compliance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, etc., so you can access secured.
Diagnostic results are available within 3 days, but please contact us if you need the results in a hurry (available on the same day). We can also send you the images (CD-R) and examination report.

Precautions for MRI Examination

Because MRI examinations use strong magnetic force, patients who fall under any of the following categories may not be able to undergo the examination.

• Those who wear a cardiac pacemaker, defibrillator,stimulating electrode, etc.
• Those who are pregnant or suspect pregnancy.
• Those who have metal implants such as brain aneurysm clips or artificial joints in their body
• Some eye shadows and tattoos contain metallic components, which may cause burns during the MRI scan. You must wash off makeup prior to the examination.
• Patients with claustrophobia
• If you are wearing colored contact lenses, you will be asked to remove them on the day of the examination.
• Within three months of pregnancy and suspect pregnancy

About Cosmetics

- Cosmetics may contain magnetic substances (mascara, eyeliner, etc.), which may not only affect the images, but may also damage the skin, etc. Please come to the hospital without wearing any cosmetics if possible.
- If you come to the clinic wearing makeup, you may be asked to remove it for the examination around the head area.
- Colored contact lenses may be made of metal, so please remove them before the examination.
- Nail art (gel nails, magnet nails, etc.) may cause burns if metal is used.
- Underwear, etc. that contain metal wires cannot be worn, and must be removed prior to the examination.

About changing clothes

For examinations in which there is a possibility that what you are wearing may affect the images, you will be asked to change into examination gowns in the changing rooms of the hospital.

There are dietary restrictions starting 6 hours prior to the examination. You may drink only water and tea.

Points to keep in mind during the examination

During Examination
Please do not move your body as much as possible during the examination, as any movement will cause blurring of the images.
Noise
Depending on the type of the examination, there may be loud noises, but earplugs and headphones are provided.

If you feel something unusual during the examination, we can stop be interrupted, so please use the buzzer in your hand to notify us. During the examination, you can talk with the examination staff through the microphone between the imaging shots.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask the radiologist in charge.

Precautions for CT Examination

Please be sure to consult with us if you have any of the following conditions because in some cases you might not be able to take the examination.

• Those who are pregnant or have the possibility of pregnancy.
• Those who have metal objects in their body that cannot be removed.
• Those who use a cardiac pacemaker, etc.

About changing clothes

PSP has established an AI service business with M3 Corporation to provide image diagnostic support services utilizing cloud IT infrastructure, and is using M3's global network to gather cutting-edge AI medical care and other support solutions for PSP to provide services.
Currently, PSP's cloud servers store over 246 million examination data.

About the System

Global Scanning Clinic Futako-tamagawa receives "cloud-based PACS related services and AI image diagnostic services that safely manage large volumes of medical information and image data" from PSP Corporation (former NOBORI Corporation), the largest provider of medical IT cloud services. After encryption and secret dispersion (multiple storage at two locations in eastern and western Japan) in compliance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare, the data is securely transmitted and stored over a wide-area network, ensuring that personal medical data and privacy information are protected. The referring clinic can access the cloud server managed by PSP (former NOBORI Corporation.) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, using PSP's (former NOBORI Corporation.) dedicated viewer via the Internet.
No installation or usage fees are required. Images are stored for a long period of time, so past images can be viewed and saved.

Interpretation Diagnostic

We provide highly reliable remote interpretation (image diagnostic) services by diagnostic radiologists using AI diagnostics as well. In addition to radiologists and diagnostic specialists in the hospital, we also utilize remote interpretation (image diagnostic), in which a diagnostic radiologist at the Radiology Center interpretates the images via the network. The high reliability of the service, including speedy interpretation by high quality radiologists, highly accurate reports, and a secure network, provides powerful support for the front lines of clinical practice.
